TWOMEY
I grew up on the South Side of Chicago, the daughter of a carpenter who introduced me to the joys of design and construction at an early age. I received my Bachelor of Science in Architectural Studies from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, my Master of Architecture from Southern Illinois University. I’m LEED certified, a member of the AIA and a Registered Architect.
I collect monographs from pen and ink artists like John Tenniel, Edward Gorey and M.C. Escher. I have a penchant for earrings that lean oversized and the collection to prove it. I enjoy symphony arrangements performed by pop stars, monster truck rallies and traveling internationally with my husband.
At home I conduct quirky science experiments with our youngest daughter and scroll TikTok with our teen.
BRENT
RESTEMAYER
I spent my childhood and college years in the high-desert and mountains of western Colorado and eastern Utah. I received my Bachelor in Accounting at Western State College of Colorado and my Master of Architecture at the University of Colorado School of Architecture and Urban Planning.
Some of my greatest joys are still influenced by the active, outdoor world I grew up in—cycling, fly fishing and woodworking.
I’m grateful for my experience living in a loving family of 3 women that has played a role in facilitating my own personal journey of enlightenment. We share our home with 1 dog and 2 cats.
SUSAN
BOWER
Growing up on a farm in Kentucky I learned the beauty of the natural landscape. From my mother, the farmer, I learned to be clever, curious and resourceful. From my father, a horseman, I learned about design and conformation along with the importance of books and persistence.
My husband, Stephen Leet, and I have two sons, Alex and William Bower-Leet. Our dog, Dieter, keeps us all on our toes.
I enjoy exploring cities, buildings, gardens, and art.
HAROLD
MOUNTAIN
My father spent 26 years in the US Navy, so we traveled every 4 years when I was growing up. I spent my childhood in Alabama, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, New Orleans, and Southern California.
I received my Associates Degree in Computer Aided Drafting and Design from I.T.T. Technical Institute Earth City, MO campus.
When I’m not behind my computer creating at Bower Leet, I enjoy golfing with friends, electric cars (especially Teslas).
We have 4 adult children and 1 granddaughter. I am currently assisting with my daughter’s high school marching band program in the transportation group. The O.T.H.S. Marching Panthers marched in the 2022 Rose Parade and were recently invited to march in the 2023 Macy’s day parade.

NOLL
I grew up in bits and pieces of Kansas, Missouri, Nebraska and Pennsylvania, fixing up homes along the way. I knew exactly what I wanted to do, so I spent my early years learning to draw, researching the Bauhaus movement, and trying my hand at some light construction, then headed off to Washington University in St. Louis for some proper architectural education.
I love getting out of the city for hikes with my pup, cruising the country listening to dream pop and funk, and trying every type of cuisine I can get my hands on.
WILLIAM
BOWER-LEET
I spent much of my childhood making and painting miniature models of cars, tanks, and sci-fi spaceships. It is a hobby that I continue to this day, and I have been able to translate those skills into making architectural models for clients.
Prior to working at Bower Leet Design, I was working at a non-profit art studio for adults with disabilities. I studied fine art at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, NY, as well as Webster University in St.Louis. Working as a Graphic Designer has been a dream of mine since middle-school, I am very grateful to be able to do what I love for work.

She taught at The Parsons School of Design and the settled in Missouri with her family where she has lived and worked in St. Louis for more than 20 years.With a fluid design philosophy that’s both creative and intelligent, Susan’s practice marries architectural prowess with interior beauty. Her choices consider both form and function, meticulously tailoring each project to the client’s specific need.
Susan’s renowned approach has been recognized with more than 24 architectural and design awards and more than 21 mentions in national and international publications.

Bower Leet Design is a full-service architecture and design firm based in St. Louis, Missouri, founded by Susan Bower, a registered architect and member of the American Institute of Architects. Capabilities include architectural services, interior design and exhibit design.
As the award-winning sole practitioner and principal designer of Bower Leet Design, Susan Bower has acquired more than 30 years of field experience and gathered an impressive list of clients.
Drawing inspiration from her childhood spent on her mother’s Kentucky farm combined with an enthusiasm and curiosity for learning, Susan has a unique point of view that allows her to relate to each client’s perspective.
After earning a Bachelor of Architecture from the University of Kentucky, Susan spent time in New York City working as an apprentice while furthering her education with a Master of Architecture from Princeton University.
